Love the garnish. The Jet Pilot is definitely the exotic cocktail I turn to when people ask me what a tiki drink is.

You must use a straw for sipping! Are you starting with crushed ice? And no, 4oz is not enough for this beast

I had one of these a week ago here in Boston (at Drink). The ice was malletized (it was in a canvas bag).

Don’t tell anyone, but when I make mine, I skip the blender altogether. I shake the hell out everything in a shaker w/ ice and strain into a DOF glass filled with crushed ice. I think it concentrates the flavors a bit more that way.

Thanks. Like many of my ideas, it just took shape. Then I had to drive around town to find a tiny toy plane. Then I had to drive around town to find a glass large enough to sink said plane in!
