Actually, I was hoping someone else would drive that discussion. And it is one which needs driving. (Hint, hint)
I think Catdaddy would be great in Tiki Drinks. The bottle and backstory have much of the same retro, faux, better in memory than in history feel and classic Tiki. And the liquor itself would go great in a lot of Tiki-like drinks, with its exotic flavor.

Frederic,

Unaged corn whiskey’s “role” is essentially corn vodka, or a very marginally sweeter neutral spirit. There are other trace flavors, but I don’t see much you can make with vodka, that won’t be pretty much as good, though possibly slightly different, with basic moonshine.

Have you ever thought about Root or Rootbeer when tasting catdaddy? to my tastebuds i feel like there´s something in catdaddy that also could possibly be found in those two, but i may be wrong. I like the flavour and i have found it has potential for tikidrinks as well due to its spiciness.

I experimented with it on the repeal day and the result i posted on my blog, it is a combo of ONO Cajun spiced, cointreau, catdaddy and lemon. Very tasty if you ask me.

I think its a fun and interesting product with a cool bottle.

At Tales of the Cocktail, their tasting room served a few cocktails with the stuff. The one I remember the best was the Kitty Hawk which substituted the gin in an Aviation with the Catdaddy.

I still don’t grasp the role of unaged whiskeys such as their Midnight Moon or Tuthilltown Spirits’ Corn Whiskey.
