There is a remake of the The Thin Man in the works… starring Johnny Depp. Will they have the guts to keep them properly soused at all times? and there may be musical numbers. Urg.

Depp could be O.K. as a functional alcoholic. And he’s been in musicals before. Hopefully it’ll be good?

Don’t get me wrong, I think Depp could certainly carry off Nick Charles. He already has in four movies while in Pirate costume, no?
I just think they’ll downplay the manic drinking, and play up the musical numbers. If they do that, it’ll be awful.
If they do it right, it’ll be awesomesauce.
